Earn The Two Powers for Our Country’s Success

Growing numbers of Filipino students, graduates, workers, professionals and government leaders believe that our country needs wealthy, influential and knowledgeable people who are capable of bringing success in our land. But for the Filipinos who understand the real essence of success, they know by their hearts that the power of knowledge and the drive of the right principles in life are the forces which carry with them the light towards good economy, righteous and ethical leadership, respectable workmanship and progressive welfare development for our country, such forces are what everyone of us need in order for us to contribute in the success of our country.

A simple realization and reflection can show us that the success of our country doesn’t rely on wealthy, influential and knowledgeable people who lack values and principles. A simple reason can be concluded that these people just promote corruption, immorality and inhuman practice which tend to demoralize the fragile minds of our nation’s youth. Countless educated but unprincipled people are seen in the verge of the devil’s works. They are those who are engaged in the instigation of illegal businesses, formation of drug syndicate groups, and practice of corruption in the government. Most of them are intellectual individuals who use their knowledge negatively because they are not guided by values which they commonly lack in their hearts. It is clear that knowledge without the accompaniment of values is an ingredient for molding dangerous criminals. Even though our eyes are too sightless to look at the evil deeds of these people who lives with the deceitful exercise of their powers, our conscience can clearly see the destruction that valueless and unprincipled people create in our land.

Who our country needs are people who use knowledge as their instrument in achieving accomplishments and at the same time use the right principles in life as their light in acquiring success in a rightful manner. This is the time to know what is right and have the will to do it. This is the moment for us to stand and cure the defects of false idealism that blinded us for a long time. This is the right moment to eradicate the wicked practices of our old generation. The balance of knowledge and values when used together can ensure the success of our economy, our culture and our country, a success that can be acquired in a rightful manner, a priceless achievement, and an incomparable victory for our country. This is the right time for all of us to be powered by knowledge and be driven by the right principles in life for us to contribute in the welfare of our countrymen and for the betterment of our land. A successful Philippines beyond our generation’s vision which can be brought by the combined force of the two powers, the knowledge and the right principles in life, a dream that every Filipinos aspire to achieve.
